Hi everyone. Pleased to be here! Thank you for taking your time to join me.
I’m the Chief Business Development Officer for TomoChain.
Educationally I graduated university with degrees in both Industrial Engineering and Economics from Georgia Tech, and later earned an MBA from the Wharton School of Business.
I grew up as a gaming addict and have a video game collection that is a bit unwieldy. Dozens of consoles and, at one point, over 13 classic arcade machines.
So, before crypto, I spent much of my profession in the gaming space. I was a Game Designer, Game Producer, and eventually Studio Head for a major games studio that was recently purchased by Rockstar Games. I have run my own game-related tech businesses as well.
I fell into crypto back in 2014, and over time it became a second passion of mine as I began to truly understand the value of decentralization. True ownership of data was not possible until Bitcoin came along and that is simply a powerful and game-changing message to a world structure built on an opposing foundation.
TomoChain is a Public Blockchain powered by Proof-of-Stake Voting. TomoChain launched into Mainnet 1 year ago in December 2018. It is secured by 150 Masternodes, of which I’m proud to be an operator myself. TomoChain is EVM Compatible and runs at a speedy 2000 TPS with a 2 Sec Blocktime. Gas fees are almost zero too.
Based out of Vietnam, TomoChain is Southeast Asia’s largest public blockchain. We are focusing on developing a full suite of DeFi products. We also have commercial and enterprise clients. TomoChain has a number of major crypto-partnerships including notables like Neo Blockchain, Chainlink and Crypto.com. Our Masternode network is run by some of the most recognizable players in the space as well, including Neo Global Capital, CoinGecko, HashQuark, KuCoin, and more large players are on the way.
TomoChain earned its place onto Binance.com with a fee-free listing last year by winning the BinanceDEX community vote in August 2019. Binance has written us up in a detailed Binance Research Report and awarded us the V-Label. We have also been in a number of their reports, including those related to Dapps and DeFi. We have been interviewed by Forbes.com official and had an in-person interview at NASDAQ, in the heart of Times Square, about TomoChain and our upcoming TomoX Protocol.
In China, specifically, we have been integrated into and have solid relationships with various blockchain players including HashQuark, HashKey, CoboWallet, Conflux, and many others. We launched an Ecosystem Development partnership with Neo Blockchain last December and co-hosted a meetup + workshop with them as well.
GEARED FOR REAL WORLD USE
Now, let’s talk about how TomoChain has been built for real-world use.
We’re looking at Payments & DeFi as low hanging fruit when it comes to user adoption and TomoChain is developing a suite of tools to support this. The biggest challenge for having users benefit from Blockchain on a day-to-day basis is how much friction is involved to acquire, store and use it. Even stable coins are dual currency systems. The Stablecoin and then the Native Token to pay gas fees. Blockchain is simply not user-friendly.
Our view is that the true solution for Blockchain adoption by the world is end-users shouldn’t need to know they are using blockchain technology at all. It should be a hidden technology layer, similar to payment processor settlements or even the internet distribution centers/routers that power this very AMA we’re all participating in right now. Do we need to know the underlying technology infrastructure to use them? Nope.
We are developing a system to hide this friction, so the TomoChain blockchain can be integrated into real-world applications that you use every day on mobile or web.
There are 3 protocols that we are building to enable this future: (1) TomoZ: Zero Friction (2) TomoX: The DEX Protocol (3) TomoP: The Privacy Suite.
TomoZ: Zero Friction - Our TomoZ protocol is a core starting point to the solution for mass market use of blockchain technology. TomoZ: Zero Friction allows for token issuance and use by having gas fees paid by the token itself. That means you don’t need TOMO to send transactions. You don’t even need to know you’re using the TomoChain blockchain.
So you could buy a cup of coffee at a café using loyalty points that are TomoZ tokens. The customers redeem for their coffee or earn it, but they don’t even have to know it’s a blockchain token which they actually own.
This approach is structured to enable the next million-plus users to utilize blockchain as a technology layer. After all, the real value of any Blockchain is in its utilization of high-quality transactions.
Now, TomoZ transactions aren’t FREE. It actually does use TOMO, but that’s hidden from the end-user. The way it works is that the token issuer deposits a small amount of TOMO into a pool. Every time the token is sent, TOMO is taken from this pool to pay the Masternodes.
The key is that the end-user doesn’t need to get involved with internal workings, which is why we call it the Zero Friction protocol
Now let’s talk about TomoX: The DEX Protocol
TomoX is an upcoming DEX Protocol that allows anyone to launch their on permissionless Decentralized Exchange in minutes. It requires very little technical knowledge making it a near turn-key solution.
TomoX is the fastest DEX experience since it’s a Layer 1 protocol. This means it’s run and secured by the entire TomoChain network. Our Masternodes manage the DEX instructions directly, rather than other DEXs that operate as a Layer 2 protocol. What this means is TomoX DEXs will operate at about 50x faster than a typical 0x exchange. That significantly improves the end-user experience.
TomoX DEX operators have access to a shared liquidity pool across all DEXs. That means a user buying on one DEX can be matched with a user selling on another DEX. Of course, Operators can customize and choose which tokens to include.
TomoX is fully decentralized since the Order Book is on-chain. Many other semi-decentralized exchanges store the OB on a centralized service in order to speed up the execution. That means there is a centralized point of weakness for them. TomoX minimizes custody and security challenges that centralized exchanges have too since all users are always in possession of their assets.

Any token issued on TomoChain will be able to utilize TomoP to send privately and anonymously. And that’s not all. We are including access to wrapped BTC, ETH, USDT, and other tokens that can also utilize the blazing speed and privacy that TomoP will offer.
Dapp privacy is a major part of TomoP. It is going to allow for the creation of Dapps to be built to handle customer data with true privacy, including from the Dapp operators themselves. This can jumpstart a new wave of applications geared towards hiding user information, transactions, assets owned, etc.
We are issuing a new token standard (TRC21p) which will be purely private. The only data available will be on its token supply. Token issuers can optionally provide auditing access to enforcement authorities to meet regulatory compliance. What this means is if the next Global PayPal/Skrill/Alipay competitor can build their service right on TomoChain and meet the most basic criteria required to stay above board in many jurisdictions.

Questions from the host
1. It’s been stated that TomoChain was on track to be a cash flow positive business, is it currently cash flow positive? What services or products is it offering to bring in this revenue?
Yes, absolutely. Our plan is to be cash flow positive this year. This really goes back to the level of experience our executive team has. Everyone is seasoned, having come from different fields, in big business and startups. Before the crazy boom of ICOs and IEOs, raising funding for traditional startups required considerable proof that there was market fit, that there were actual customers to drive revenue, and a model for growth.
We knew that TomoChain’s funds raised during the ICO were for a space that has yet to prove itself so the company had to be smart in budgeting for an uncertain future. And part of that initial preparation was selling much of the ICO proceeds into fiat. Something MANY blockchain startups did not do, largely due to ambitious teams that are also headed by very inexperienced leaders. So while the bubble burst, we had capital to continue operations and to even scale it.
And, we ARE running a business. A sustainable business requires us to identifying areas to generate income in order to minimize risk and to sustain the business in the long term. So we do both consulting and services work by helping clients to develop wallets, launch tokens (Orbyt), build exchanges (AIS), and of course enterprise solutions on the blockchain of which we have clients based out of Japan and in the Middle East using blockchain for traceability solutions across various industries from automotive, healthcare, and food.
2. What is the most strategical step TOMO is doing to bring adoption of TOMO coin to our daily lives?
Empowering businesses with a truly scalable blockchain that can be used by thousands and millions of users. We see user adoption of blockchain coming from businesses that base their solutions on blockchain technology. And, TomoChain has a number of real income-generating companies that have built on us, from exchanges to payment services to enterprise clients. Not bad for 1 year I say, especially during a stagnant market. Here are some examples.
UcarPac – A Top 10 User Car company in Japan is building traceability solutions on the blockchain. We completed a POC at the end of last year. After the assessment, the client decided it was solid and commissioned Phase 2 to expand the development of the project for commercialization purposes
Triip Protocol – Triip is a destination service for travelers to book vacations powered by Blockchain. Triip is a Shark Tank Vietnam alumnus, and the first ICO on TomoChain. Users can book tours and staycations using Triip or TOMO tokens.
WisePass – A service that sells subscription services to get discounted Starbucks, Singha Beer, and even makeup (of all things) integrated TomoChain as a payment solution
“Undisclosed Vendor” – Soon to be announced, a large player in the corporate gift giving business is also launching a Dapp on TomoChain to allow for them to make purchases with TOMO across thousands of items.
Maka - A peer-to-peer marketplace to conveniently buy/sell TOMO and other blockchain tokens using standard payment gateways, including e-wallets and bank transfers.
Coin98 – A local Vietnam crypto media company launched an App to allow for their community to earn their TomoChain token called C98 and use it for products and services geared around investors and gamers. The reception has been HUGE. 95,000 users and generating 500K+ transactions on our blockchain within 3 months of their launch! They are proving that innovative new business models can be adopted relying on and being blockchain specific.
3. Do you have any plans to collaborate with developers or attract more Dapps built on TomoChain?
We are today. Our founders run the largest Blockchain Developer community in Vietnam and we work with a number of them to help develop solutions on the blockchain.
Our team has held Hackathons a few times over the last couple years and we have done developer workshops too, including one with Neo Blockchain. And this year we are working closely with educational institutions to launch blockchain courses in Vietnam.
Every Dapp developer we work with is a partner. We try to provide as much support as possible, both technical and marketing. A number of Dapps are games on TomoChain and we hold contests regularly to promote the developers and their titles.
Since we are focusing on alleviating the friction of blockchain technology, we are building out an API that will make it even easier for developers to integrate blockchain into standard applications. This is intended to allow standard non-blockchain application developers to operate in an environment they are accustomed to while also having the benefit of blockchain technology accessible.
Onboarding more developers will take time. However, I’m confident we’re on the cusp of something wonderful in the coming years that will change the relationship between users and applications enabled by blockchain. Entirely new economic structures can be set up since it’ll be the users owning all of their data for the first time in digital history. And true ownership is a powerful motivator that can be harnessed by innovative blockchain businesses.

This debate consists of three sessions: initiator statement, debating session and summary session.
The first session: Each initiator explain his understanding of FOne and the current problems FOne faced.
Proposal 1: Run
Design of this proposal:
Profit distribution mechanism + marketing effect = whether the merchant can survive.
How the Merchant, FT holder shareholder and FCoinwill distributed 100% profits:
Proposal 1: allocation for merchants is basically around 65%, and with more reasonable ladder-shaped competition mechanism.
Option 2: allocation for merchants is about 60–70%,
Option 4: only 10% for merchants which can be directly excluded, while for okex and houbi, this percentage isabout 50%
Option 3 can also be excluded: we need to ensure the interests of the head merchants, so that they can be loyal to the platform and bring new businesses.
Proposal II: stone
This proposal is to improve the enthusiasm of the merchants, to increase the transaction volume and transaction depth, so that more people actively help the FCoin platform to develop better.
Option 2, basic dividends plus dynamic rewards, combined with t repurchase and destruction, which can balance the interests of all parties. In early stage, trading volume can be used as the dynamic rewards standard. Later some other factors can be introduced in according to the improvement of the platform.
Proposal III: Donglai
About my understanding on FOne and current issues.
FOne’s positioning: FCoin2.0 is a technical service provider, everyone can open an exchange.
- The cold starting by transfee-mining mode was successful, but it also brought some problems. The price of FT plummeted, and investors lost faith. The platform is under lots of pressure lately.
- Although the trading experience is constantly optimized, but there is still a big gap between the first-class exchange;
2.Communitization: community users are the shareholders of the platform, shall have the opportunity to participate in community building and community development process .
- The core technology: We have had the largest trading volume in the history of the exchange, and platform security is guaranteed.
4． Self-contained traffic: we have been in the center of public opinion whether in the early stage or at the present. When our business can be stabilize or even grow, this self-contained traffic will bring us a lot of advantages then.
- Transparency: This advantage is not too obvious when price is low, but will be revealed and become one of our core competitiveness when price go higher..

What can FOne exchange do?

Following possibilities I can think of based on the exchange’s gameplay, FOne can be
1, an exchange of spot trading, like Binance.
2, an exchange of fiat month trading, like ZB.
3, an exchange of margin trading, like Huobi.
4, an exchange of futures trading, like OKEX.
5, an exchange of options trading, like JEX.
6, an exchange of transfee mining, like FCoin1.0.
7, an exchange of transfee mining, can be any feasible innovation model.
What’s more important is that not only we have Chinese uers, but from global wide.
The above non-exchange gameplay may be implemented in the short term or never be able to realized, they are just some possibilities I can think of.
- can be a game mode, developers can develop their own game projects like F3D, Zethr, ETH.TOWN, EOSBET.
- can be a virtual product trading platform, and support the trading of all virtual products, such as the services and transactions that Taobao (Ebay) does involves.
- can be an app store, to develop under the requirement of merchants.
- there are more fun ideas waiting for you to discover and participate.
The positioning of FCoin2.0 is a platform and a technical service provider. We welcome everyone to discuss the possibilities, as long as it can bring benefits and bring profits to the platform and FT holders.
Current issues FOne faced.
2, the number of main coins is insufficient, all main coins must be fully supported in the future.
- We will face the problem of trading depth at the early stage which can be solved through sharing depth. We should have larger volume and measures to encourage placing orders.
3, FCone still works as a trading zone right now. I hope it can develop as an exchange in the later stage, to support the complete domain name, independent page and so on.
5, The platform can technically support the operationsof the shops, and share the commission with merchants.
- The review process needs to be speeded up, the process can be simplified and is transparent.
Part 1: Initiator elaborate on his proposal
Proposal I: Run:
80% of the distribution is for the head merchants.20% and 30% can be understood as a competition ladder.
Proposal II: stones
Option 2 is basic dividend plus dynamic reward, combined with a repurchase destruction mechanism. This repurchase and destruction mechanism will allow some people who do not support Option 4 and Option 3 to have some leeway.
Proposal III: Donglai:
There are three reasons for the recommendation of option 3:
Firstly, it is simple. Too many rules can be a shackle for FONE which will kill too many possibilities.
Secondly, is the fairness. Encourage same standard for all merchants
The last one is the low threshold, which allow more people participate in, then FONE will have a chance to grow bigger, which means more dividends FT holders.
Reasons for the design of the 2–8 distribution ratio:
The second part of the debating: Explain the mechanism of their own proposal and the impact it may have on FOne’s prospects (3 minutes)
- Many great platform companies like Meituan, and Didi all use this golden ratio, and Tmall is even lower than this ratio.
- There are other platforms ask above 50% distribution, but it won’t work for FCoin based on current situation.
- Some operations already limited the development of FCoin, which will cause vitality losing.
- 20% will be taken from all merchants. Our income is proportional to the total income of the merchants. Only when FOne grows bigger, more profit will be brought, and more dividends can to allocated to FT holders.
Proposal I : Run
We only need simplicity and stability at this stage which can help to attract more people. That’s why I denied option 3 and 4, because they will have to change before enter the bull market.
In addition, comparing schemes 2 and 3, option 1 will save more room for the platform to engage in activities, and attract merchants. If Option 3 is implemented but don’t work. The platform will have to launch more activities, which won’t be good for a total of 4% revenue.
Proposal II: Stone
The 60% dividend can guarantee the basic income of merchants, 20% dynamic rewards is a mean of macro-control to motivate the merchants and regulate their behaviors. Then these parts used for repurchaseand destruction, plus 23% of FCoin fund, which can be increased to about 30%, which expands the deflation expectation and supports FT price, which is good for everyone.
The biggest feature of this proposal is the consideration of three parties. To ensure everyone has a basic income and also encourage those who are actively participated in.
Proposal III: Donglai
Option 3 is the easiest and quickest. Since tranfeemining has stopped, and free trading for Main Board A, and FONE is now the main income source of FT holders. The sooner FONE starts, the better it is for FT holders.
It’s better not to have too many constraint in the primary development stage of FONE. Providing a fair environment and also lowering the threshold for entry, which can help to lock the FT’s liquidity, increase its application scenario, and the actual value of FT. When FT enters the positive cycle, these will become the power of development.
The third part of the debating: evaluating other competition proposals
Proposal I: Run
I will skip option 4.
Option 3 is a good option. I know exactly that okex is 50%, for option 3, merchants accounted for 80% while the platform accounted for 4%, as a technical service provider to ensure everyone’s safety, but he can only get 4% the profit, do you think this is appropriate?
Option 2 is a good solution. first It is smoother, it uses a Y=X curve, which is theoretically more elaborate than a sweeping approach. Second, it introduces destruction. Because there is no data support, I can’t explain compare with option 1 which is better. Theoretically it’s finer than the first one.Option 1 is more concise but option 2 is more complicated.
Proposal II: Stones
First of all, option 4 is obviously unscientific, 10% is attributed to the merchants which will decrease theirenthusiasm, and make trading volume and depth of the entire trading area even difficult.
About option 1, it’s much similar to my proposal II, only mine adds repurchase and destruction. Compared to option 1, I think option 2 is more scientific.
About option 3, 80% for the merchants and 20% for the platform, which leaves no leeway for everyone.
Proposal III: Donglai
The starting point of Option 1 and Option 2 is very good, but in fact there is a fatal problem which islacking of fairness, and will force some small merchants to exit from this market.
The biggest problem of option 1 is that, if the bottom 80% merchants can’t compete with the top 20, which leads to the exit. The newly-entered merchants can’t compete with the top 20, which leads to fewer and fewer stores, and less incomes of the whole patform. This is why it is necessary to ensure the fairness for everyone on the platform.
Motivating is supportive, but not in this way,.
As for option4, I said that fish can be big only water is enough. The ft holder can get more dividends only more merchants come in and bring more profits, that’s when the value of FT can really show up. 1*80% is much smaller than 100*20%.
The fourth part of the debating: defending yourself
Proposal I: Run
I will give the answer to the questions on proposal I and II.
Under the spirit of the blockchain, constant and stable is the fairest. The reason why Bitcoin and Ethereum is so powerful is that they are stable enough.
Last I would like to say something to those who supports option 3. Those who hold millions of FTs (mostly are those “holding up” on FCoin) will be able to open stores and make more money if option 3 passes. It may sees like you have more dividends, but in fact platform will lost the credibility, lost the right to maintain users. Moreover, if these people really go to play, and your resources are not enough, basic Your income is zero, what is the difference between 20% and 80% of 0, so I think we need to calm down and think carefully before making a choice.
Incentives will make users feel our responsibility. Option 3 leave us no room for manoeuvre, which is not good for later strategy. The aggressiveness of Option 2 is increasing. Repurchase and destruction can also reduce the resistance of some policies, so that it can also obtain understanding and recognitionof most users.
Now back to the positioning of FC2.0, which is a platform-based service provider. What is the most important thing about the platform? Fairness. The example I gave just now, 20%dividend is completely incapable when competing with 80% dividends. This is why the option 1 failed during the referendum. In fact, 60% is also difficult to compete with 80%. The result is inevitably that more shops will have to close. Then the early merchants have to repeat the competition again and more shop closed. And it’s the same logic for option 2.
So I request again please pay attention to our positioning, do not undermine fairness as we are a platform. As for the incentive part mentioned in Option 1 and Option 2, I think it should not be the basic rules. It should be a short-term plan for operation and promotion.
As for the other proposals, 20% dividends are too small, the total amount of dividends per day is less than three bitcoins. What we have to do now is to make the pool bigger, 3X80% is much smaller than 300X20%.
Proposal I: Run
The proposal collection from the community is a good idea. I only contribute 20% of this proposalbecause many people have made a lot of efforts before. We are the shareholders of fcoin, and we need to choose a good solution for the future development of FCoin, so that we can make profits. In the last I want to say that I have high expectations for FCoin, and I hope FCoin is getting better and better, thank you.
Proposal II: Stone
I hope that everyone will vote rationally. FOne is a good attempt. Option 4 is not good for everyone’s participation, merchants have high operating cost promotion costs, 10% will be much less for that. Thank you. FOne can be an opportunity, a big opportunity in the bear market.
Proposal III: Donglai
FCoin is under the most embarrassing period since transfee mining ended and trading fee is free for Main Board A. Even 80% dividends for FT holders, there are still less than three BTCs in total per day. It is better to let the merchants operate, and FCoinprovides support for the merchants. so that they can make the pool bigger, FT holder can have more dividends.
The main focus of Option 3 is the positioning of FC2.0. The platform is a technical service provider,should be simple in the early stage of FONE. Should be no much restrictions for merchants. At the same time, FCoin must lower its posture, play the role ofservice provider but not a regulator.
Sharing from special guest MR. Zhang Jian
I would like to end up with a few words. This debate is wonderful. Everyone is well prepared! I will share some of my ideas on the debates and about the future.
FCoin’s future revenue e is very large, and will have more types of income e. So I think as long as FCoincan keep growing, the community keeps expanding.
I think that whether it is a bull market or a bear market, I feel that we should firmly expand our community, traffic, and trading volume. The income will definitely group up, and to a bring future that everyone can’t imagine!
I have talked with many investors, even the investors of the most well-known companies on world stage. In fact, everyone who knows the truth that, the most thing to make a great company successful is the thingit originally imagined.
What I want to say is that the space that FCoin can explore in the future is very large. Therefore, as long as we hold the initial heart of community, to follow this direction. we will be able to walk out of a way that all of us can imagine. So I said that great things must have evolved but not planned!

Openness and transparency are one of the several reasons I decided to enter crypto several years ago. This may seem strange coming from someone with my background but in my opinion, the traditional approach of hiding behind the corporate veil is cowardly and toxic. So, for any firm in this space, both it and its supporters must embrace diverse opinions and have an intelligent and open dialogue with those that disagree with our opinions. Lets not embrace the culture that exists in our global politics where those with different opinions are tarred and feathered but rather choose to behave like adults to set the example for our youth. Crypto is not about being closed minded but rather quite the opposite. So, when we are challenged lets not scream the loudest and attack but rather choose to engage those having different opinions in an open intelligent dialogue. Lets ask the tough questions of ourselves and others. If someone has an opinion, lets discover what informs that opinion by demanding openness and transparency about the facts that matter when sharing that opinion such as someone’s background or the analysis, facts and details that support it. As you all know, Shingo and I are here everyday to answer all of your questions, whether easy or difficult. This is a conscious decision on our part because of two main reasons, first because leaders in our industry should not cowardly sit behind the corporate veil like our traditional corporate counterparts and secondly, because we are building a global community that desires a financial system that works for society rather than against it. Lets embrace diversity of opinion as we are a diverse community from all walks of life who understand that differences should be embraced rather than pushed aside. I will be here everyday no matter how big or busy things become at Bitquence. Not because I have to but rather because I want to. I don't see anyone thinking about this the way we do. Remember, first may be okay initially but if your model isn't sustainable and insulated from all the changes to laws and regs that are forthcoming, then it won't matter as you will be out of business. Working smarter and with speed and precision is always better in my book. I don't think the complexity of what we are doing and the space we're doing it in is always apparent. You can't just build something, especially in finserv, without knowing first where all the minefields are, as many have tried before and have since departed with many others to follow. Don't get me wrong, I don't wish this on anyone but if you don't plan appropriately, there really isn't an excuse. If we are sustainable, everyone wins. The team has basically doubled in a week, so the train is rolling at a high rate of speed to deliver not only an innovative model but also "several" innovative tech solutions.

What we will NOT be doing is buying ads, spending on search/video/interstitial etc. What we ARE doing is putting effort into nurturing our community and increasing our earned traffic. This means upgrading the brand, creating a PR plan, scheduling releases etc. Once we launch the product, we will begin to buy ads and push the marketing pedal. I believe that this is the right strategy and will help to develop this community organically
